A feeling of pleasure and slight sadness when thinking of past events
This collection came to life while I was overdue with my third baby. I was in a reflective mood, thinking about my childhood and was amazed at how vivid my recollections were. As a child I spent many summers in Connemara, memories from these times are played out in the work. From finding a magenta pink starfish while exploring rockpools to reimagining a smooth rock face as a slide, these experiences remained not only vibrant in my mind, but tangible in the feelings they evoke- wonder, joy and peace.
